In The Later Times

August 11, 2021

There is a growing division in churches over the covid vaccine between those who say it is okay to take and those against it.
This division does not fulfill Christ mandate that his body be united as one in spirit and faith.
Any kind of division should never be brushed off as a personal choice of a believer because those who confess that Jesus is their Lord must subject themselves completely to his will as his servants and obey God’s will and not personal choices.
There is also a danger when people say that God’s word does not want people to take the vaccine.
I have heard that there are some pastors that are teaching that the covid vaccine is the mark of the beast found in Revelations 13.

To take the mark of the beast is to identity yourself with the beast. To worship him, obey his will, and have sincere devotion to him.

When someone takes the mark willingly and knowingly, they will forever be tormented in the lake of fire.

Revelations 14: 11 And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."

Revelations 13 says that it is the 2nd beast who will persecute and kill those who do not worship the image of the beast and take his mark. This 2nd beast is the anti-Christ, the lawless one that Paul spoke of in 2 Thessalonians 4. Paul said this lawless one must first be revealed to believers before Christ returns.

So, how can the covid vaccine be the mark of the beast when the anti-Christ has not been revealed to believers.

Our God is not an unjust God. He will not allow his children to unknowingly take the mark of the beast. The Holy Spirit will clearly reveal the anti-Christ and the mark that he will force everyone to take. This taking of the mark will be a clear choice to either follow Jesus and refuse the mark or follow the beast and wear his mark.

The Holy Spirit teaches in Scripture what will keep someone from inheriting eternal life. They are rejecting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, to be unforgiving, to willfully sin, to willfully worship the image of the beast and to willfully take the mark of the beast.
God is a just and forgiving and will always provide a means for someone to repent from their sinful choice and receive his forgiveness.
If the vaccine is the mark of the beast, it will be impossible to remove when it exists in your body. It condemns a believer who did not willingly take the vaccine because it identified as the mark of the beast. It provides no recourse to repent, and they will be eternally unforgivable and forever separated from God.

That does not sound like a patient God who wants all to be able to repent and not perish.

In 2 Peter 1:2, it reads, Grace and peace is your in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. This knowledge we have in Jesus is knowing that he wants us to do all things out of love by being obedient to him. So, when a believer takes the vaccine out of love to protect their loved ones, their church family, and those around them to protect them from getting sick you are someone Jesus calls his sheep.

Matthew 25: 34 "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick, and you looked after me, I was in prison, and you came to visit me.'
Getting vaccinated to protect others from getting sick is serving Jesus as his servants by caring for others from getting the deadly virus. Jesus said those who care for others will be blessed by his Father and inherit His kingdom.
Scripture does not say that the Covid vaccine is the mark of the beast because the Lawless one has not been revealed and it makes it impossible for some to repent. Nor does it say if it changes your body’s DNA it changes you from the image of God, because the image of God is Spirit and not the body that God made from dust. Nor does it say you will be condemned because it has the DNA of aborted babies. Roman 8: 28 Paul said, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
God has not wasted the life of aborted babies but has glorified their innocence to save others just as his Son’s innocent death saved us from spiritual death. That is the same understanding Joseph had in:
Genesis 50:20, You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
God’s word does not teach that Jesus died to save your body. You are not sin because you have a disease, have a blood transfusion or organ transplant from someone of this world. So, in the same way taking the vaccines does not make your body more sinful. Jesus said he came to save your spirit and not your flesh.
John 6: 63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.
And Paul said:
1 Corinthians 15: 50 I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
Our sinful body will never inherit heaven, but how you use your body to serve Jesus while on earth to care and help others out of love for God is what will count as being worthy to him.
We need to always remember what Paul said in:
Romans 8: 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
If you love Jesus, God will work for your good because you are following his purpose as his children to love others as he has loved you.
I must always keep in mind what Paul said, not to teach what is not true to the Holy Spirit and someone who has abandoned their faith in Jesus’ teachings and commandments.
1 Timothy 4: 1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. 6 If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.

We are in the later time and Paul warns us to be aware when teaching is from a hypocritical liar that teaches believers not to do things that God has meant for his good and to be thankful for.
The Holy Spirit will always set before us choices that will example Jesus’ obedience to his Father’s will to show his love and mercy that saved us.
Paul said salvation is by grace through faith that is true to the name of Jesus. He also states in Colossians that God has set before us the choice to be faithful to his Son and follow the right path he has set before us in his teaching to remain reconciled with God.
Colossians 1: 22-23, But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation-- 23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel.
Salvation rest upon your choice to continue in your faith which dismiss the once saved always saved belief. If that was true, there would not be the need to continue in your faith to remain holy in God’s sight and in the gospel. Paul said in Philippians to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, because Jesus said the path to his Father is narrow. Salvation is conditional by the faith that you choose to follow and believe is true to Jesus.
God’s word does not say you must take the vaccine it is your choice to choose what best examples the love he showed you, but he does want us to discern when teaching is hypocritical and not true to Jesus’ teaching.
Eternal life is to know God and Jesus, so let the Holy Spirit counsel and guide you to be a living sacrifice and do what Jesus wants his sheep to do.
Be safe is Jesus, Ps. Glenn
